    1.  How do you make concrete look so good?
At Manicured Concrete we use a variety of stains
and polymer based resurfacing materials to
create stunning flooring systems for new or old
concrete.  That's right, we can resurface old,
pitted, stained, ugly concrete and turn it into a
functional part of your home or business that
looks as good as it performs.

    2.  Will these products peel up like paint?
No!  We do NOT paint concrete and advise you
never to do so.  There are many reasons that paint
will not adhere to concrete and even the lightest
foot traffic (or even none at all) will cause paint to
peel or flake off.  When properly installed, our
systems actually become a permanent part of the
existing concrete.  In fact, we're so sure that our
systems are the best in the world that we
guarantee they will not de-laminate.  Read our
extensive warranty for all the details.

    3.  How long will my new concrete surface last?
With a minimal amount of maintenance, your new
concrete floor will last longer than any other
flooring options on the market.  Our staining and
resurfacing systems will wear just like concrete
because they are concrete.  You can drive a semi
over our floors with no worries!!  Now that's
    durable!!

    4.  What's the difference between regular concrete
    and your resurfacing products?
There are two main differences that should be
noted when comparing ordinary concrete and our
resurfacing systems. Our products are actually
engineered to be stronger than the grey stuff that
comes on the mixing trucks to most job sites and
they are more receptive to tinting and staining.

    5.  Why would I add a resurfacing product to my
    new concrete slab?
While a new concrete slab is an excellent
candidate for acid staining to create a beautiful,
durable floor, adding our resurfacing products
will add other options to your flooring choices.
With our engineered products we can achieve
brighter, more vibrant colors when acid staining
and allows the use of other types of stains, tints,
textures, custom logos and graphics, and other
decorative effects that just aren't possible with a
    standard concrete slab.

    6.  How does an acid stain work?
Acid stains react with minerals already in the
concrete.   See our Acid Stain page for a more
    detailed description.

    7.  Will the color fade on my new concrete floor?
No. With proper maintenance and a UV inhibiting
sealer your new floor will last a lifetime.  Color
fade occurs when the U.V. resistant sealer is
worn and exposes the stained or colored concrete
to harmful U.V. rays.  CSS has higher
    performance characteristics than standard acrylic
    sealers, including: salt resistance, U.V.
    resistance, water resistance, freeze/thaw
    resistance, petrochemical resistance, and wear
    resistance.

    8.  Can a concrete floor be applied over a standard
    plywood sub-floor?
Yes!  These systems can be applied over a wood
sub-floor.  This procedure includes adding felt
paper, lath, and creating a concrete base over
which a floor may be added.  To reduce the
chance of flex, we recommend spacing floor joists
at 12" centers with two layers of 3/4" sub-floor
    running in perpendicular directions.

    9.  Can these systems be used on walls?
Yes!  AMC can install a number of different
textures and colors to a concrete wall. Imagine
never painting your basement walls!  These
products also look great on exterior foundation
walls at a fraction of the cost of stone.

    10.  My concrete is cracked.  Can it be repaired?
Once concrete is cracked, that crack will always
be there.  However, there are many options for
hiding cracks.  See our About Cracks page for
    more information.

    11.  Are concrete floors slippery?
Any sealed surface can be slippery when wet.
AMC can help you with making your new floor
more slip resistant.  We offer a wide variety of
textured floors that are great in wet areas like
pool decks, driveways, and patios.  A number of
slip resistant additives can also be mixed into the
sealer and applied to any floor.
